Chris beheld the beauty of Christ after being confronted with his sinful heart and the brokenness of this world. Since then, several faithful men from California, Cambodia, and Chicago have invested in Chris’ spiritual formation. Instilled with an acute sense of the brevity of life and a deep conviction that all of life be stewarded for Christ’s glory, Chris wants to spend his brief life on earth caring for the Bride of Christ, until she can finally meet her Beloved face to face (1 Peter 1:8). At Santa Clara University, Chris completed a B.S. in Biochemistry – considering his studies to be one long commentary on Genesis 1:1. During this time, Chris also worked as a nursing assistant for patients with dementia, served as a leader of multiple ministries in his local church, and pursued his beloved wife, Shereen.
Chris has a Master of Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and is now completing a Doctor of Medicine at Rush Medical College with a desire for continued bi-vocational ministry. You can find Chris and Shereen enjoying local parks with their beloved son and energetic dog. You might also find him poring over a book with a pourover coffee in hand or at his secret fishing spot. Chris is deeply grateful to the Lord for IBC and looks forward to seeing him continue to use our church for the sake of his Name in this city.
